Sherrill Ann Buckmaster, 76, of McAlester, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the Chaney Harkins Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2024 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Brian Chadsey officiating. The burial will follow at the Masonic Cemetery, McAlester, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be Brian Chadsey, Scott Barton, Spencer Hovey, Chad Packard, Alexander Manning, and Eli Yorgesen. Sherrill was born on July 20, 1948 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Albert Hall and Catherine (Hamilton) Hall. She graduated from McAlester High School with the Class of 1966. She furthered her education and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, and then her Associate’s degree at Eastern Oklahoma State College in nursing. When she turned 50, Sherrill returned to school and received her Registered Nurse credentials. Sherrill was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, McAlester Ward. She is survived by her daughter, Erin Adkisson of Yukon; grandchildren: Tommy Robertson, Jr. and wife, Jamie of McAlester, and Cody Cook of Yukon; great grandchildren: Hazen Dudley, Kylan Morgan, Charli Robertson, Memphis Dyer, Lyric Cook, Parker Robertson, and Tatum Dudley; brother, Michael Hall; nieces: Adrea Hall, and Jessica Hall; along with her church family. Sherrill is preceded in death by her parents: Albert Hall and Catherine (Hamilton) Hall.
