Opal “Leta” Beall, 86, of McAlester, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at her home. Family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Brumley-Mills Chapel in McAlester with Pastor Mitch Arteberry officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Mike Beall, Chad Beall, J.B. Beall, Michael Ramirez, Jesse James, Bastion Beall, Chase Wood and Brandon Boatright. Leta was born on January 13, 1938 in Sawyer, Oklahoma to William and Anna Bell (Shaw) England. She married J.B. Beall on June 27, 1954 in Durant, Oklahoma. She enjoyed softball, bingo and garage sales. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a son, Mike Beall; daughter, Beckie (Beall) James; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Beall; sons, James B. Beall and Carol Gene Beall; mother, Anna Bell Fryer; father, William Carrol England; sisters, Anna Juanell Birchfield and Antonia Mae Tolson.
