LaSherry Lynn Massey-Mahoney, 66, of Glencoe, OK., formerly of McAlester, passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024. LaSherry Lynn Massey-Mahoney was born October 7th, 1957, in Bakersfield, California to Vernon and Dottie (Ezell) Massey. The Massey family moved back to McAlester when LaSherry was 10 years old to live closer to both her parent’s families. LaSherry attended school in McAlester and graduation with the 1975 senior class from McAlester High School. She is survived by her husband, Mike Mahoney, Daughter, Michelle Center and husband Chet of Choctaw, Stepchildren, Erica Adams and husband Kenny of Stillwater, Steven Mahoney and wife Faith of Stillwater & Nick Mahoney of Sand Springs. Grandchildren, Chelsea Truster, Zane Center, Emma Mahoney, Mason Adams, Nash Adams, Parker Mahoney, Kaden Mahoney, Kennedy Mahoney and Lilly Mahoney. LaSherry is also survived by her brother Dale Massey and wife Tricia of McAlester. LaSherry hobbies included antique shopping, collecting coins and any item that had an apple represented from dishes and pictures to ceramic or glass apples to display. It brought her great joy to spend time with her grandkids whether if be going to watch drama plays, listening to choir recitals, or watching basketball games and she loved her pets fiercely. LaSherry had made her own arrangements for cremation with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Graveside services will be held at 10 am Friday, October 11th, Pastor, Bryan Pain officiating. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to a local animal shelter or humane society in your area.
