Gunner Wayne Schoggins, 12, of McAlester, died Sunday, September 12, 2021 near Stuart. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2021 officiated by Rev. Darren Schoggins. Inurnment will follow with his mother, Meghan, at North Town Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Kaibryn Anderson, Emma Myers, Jayanna Walling, Elic Cooper, Noah Damota, Jocie Goodwin, and aunt: Brittany Ransome. Gunner Wayne was born to Anthony Wayne Schoggins and Meghan Danielle Ransome on October 20, 2008 in McAlester. Gunner was a seventh grader attending Puterbaugh Middle School in McAlester. He was a happy, funny, and fun-loving child. He enjoyed Tik-Tok and was an automobile enthusiast, memorizing makes and models of cars. Gunner was preceded in death by his mother: Meghan Danielle Ransome; brother: Tagus Lane; maternal grandmother: Jana Carol (Whitefield) Free; paternal grandmother: Sammie Carol (Fannin) Harrison; great-grandfather: Bob Schoggins; uncles: Gary Schoggins, Howard Schoggins; aunt: Carolyn Pinkney; cousins: Joshua Schoggins, Jackie Pinkney, Jessie Pinkney, Abby Schoggins, Aasin Don Mohebi, Dawson Myskey; great-uncle: Donnie Mohebi; great-great-uncle: Clifford; and best friend: Matthew Cable. Gunner is survived by his father: Anthony Schoggins of McAlester; sister: Hurley Schoggins of McAlester; paternal grandfather: Robert Schoggins of McAlester; paternal grandmother: T.J.
