Patricia Norene Rounsaville, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2023, in McAlester, Oklahoma. A visitation will be held Monday, October 23, 2023 at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. Family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Bishop Chapel of Memories. Matt Judkins will be officiating. A burial will follow at North Town Cemetery in McAlester, Oklahoma. Active pallbearers will be Eddie Smith, Shane Hackler, Daniel Hackler, Mark Stanczyk, Dante Smith, Jeff Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Don Wilkins, Les Swindell, Mark O'Neal. Patricia was born on October 7, 1932, in Hugo, Oklahoma to Henry Lee Wilkins and Bonnie (Morrison)Wilkins. She graduated from McAlester High School and worked at Woods Drug for over 30 years. She was a woman of strong faith and was actively involved in her church community. She hosted a bible study every Thursday for over 16 years in her home, she also helped to start a soup kitchen at First Christian Church, where she served meals with love and compassion to those in need. Her life was a testament to her spirit, humor, and faith. Her legacy of love, service, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands: Pam and Rex Cathey of Dow, Janice and Tony Stanczyk of McAlester; her son, Eddie Smith of McAlester; grandchildren: Shonda, Mark, Shane, Daniel, Stacie, Dante, Adam, Aerik, Patti Ann, Leroy; her great-grandchildren: Aury, Lauren, Ethan, Taylor, Ashton, Acer, Chase, Noah, Zyler, Zailey, Deven; her great-great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Jace, and Sloan; her brother: Jimmie Don Wilkins of Oklahoma; her sister and her husband: Linda and Tracey Renyolds; her daughters-in-law: Bonnie Whinery of McAlester, and Judy Whinery of McAlester; Patricia is preceded in death by parents: Henry Lee Wilkins and Bonnie (Morrison) Wilkins; her husband: Gilbert Rounsaville; her sons: James Lee Whinery, Steven Michael Whinery; her daughter: Judy Swindell; her siblings: Kenneth Wilkins, Sue Freeman, and Shirley Brown. Patricia will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will remind us of the importance of kindness, faith, and laughter.
