Harold Long. 85, of Alderson, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at Chaney Harkins Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2024 at North Town Cemetery with Reverend Ralph Suter officiating. The burial will follow. Harold was born on December 26, 1938 in Grant, Oklahoma. He married Joyce Newport on February 7, 1959 and have enjoyed 65 years of marriage. Harold worked at Dolese Concrete as a truck driver for many years. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Krebs. He is preceded in death by his father, Charlie Long, mother, Linda (Wilket) Smith.; daughter, Susan Holt; grandchildren: Levi Brown, and Brittney Weaver; and sisters: Pauline Buford, and Lorene Munholland. Harold is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joyce (Newport) Long of the home; daughters: Cathy Long of Alderson, and Lynnett Weaver of McAlester; grandchildren: Caleb Brown, Tasha Holt, Tara Holt, Chelsi Weaver, and Garrett Weaver; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and other family and church friends.
