Thomas Aaron Dobson, 75, of McAlester, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at McAlester Regional Health Center. He was born on January 2, 1947 in McAlester to Earlene (Rowell) Pitts. He married Wanda Haws on September 26, 1969 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He retired from the City of McAlester Parks and Recreation Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. He is survived by his wife, Wanda (Haws) Dobson; three daughters and a son-in-law, Chris and Patrick Tinker of McAlester, OK, Angela Dobson of Oklahoma City, OK and Cheryll Darneal of Bixby, OK; grandchildren and spouses, Jimmy and Morgan Wilson, Katie Wilson, Erin Dobson-Keahbone and Joshua Keahbone, Alexandra Darneal, Makayla Darneal, Zachary Darneal Summer, Dalton Barone and Jacob McGuire; great-grandchildren, Jasmine Keahbone, Bianca Keahbone, Cashlyn Rae, Amelia Brooks, Ezra Keahbone and Axel Wilson; three brothers, Wayne Pitts, Walter Pitts and Junior Pitts; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mom, Earlene Pitts; step-father, Melvin Pitts; brother, Jim Dobson; sister, Mary Lou Whorton and step-sister, Wanda Waldron. Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2022 at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in McAlester with Kelley Benson officiating. Burial will follow at North McAlester Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Anthony Dobson, Dakota Dobson, Jake Dobson, Dylan Dobson, Dailey White and Chad Sager. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Wilson, DeWayne Dobson, Bill Dobson, Joshua Keahbone and Dalton Barone.
