Carolyn Brown, 59, formerly of McAlester, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Chaney Harkins Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Anthony Washington officiating. Carolyn was the baby of the Brown family. She was born on June 6, 1964 to Grace and John Brown in McAlester, Oklahoma. Carolyn graduated high school in McAlester and eventually moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has three children: Darryl, Derrick and Yolanda with long time partner David Frazier. She worked several assembly/factory jobs over the years. Carolyn had a great sense of humor. She could make you laugh about anything at any time. Her jokes and laughter will truly be missed. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents: John Brown and Grace (Ward) Brown; her sisters: Jewell Williams, Johnnie Toole and Bobbie Gordon and her brothers: Jessie Brown, and Henry Brown. She leaves to celebrate her memory her beloved children, grandchildren and three sisters: Joyce Simms, Gloria Kalu, Betty Brown and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
