Wanda Lee Rodriguez, 89, of Krebs, Oklahoma passed away on April 4, 2022 in McAlester. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022 at the Chaney Harkins Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Kerry Kirkhart officiating. The burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in McAlester. Pallbearers will be Steve Saunier, Chris Shields, Morgan Shoemake, Stephen Rodriguez, Michael Stewart, and Trevor Bedwell. Wanda was born on January 3, 1933 in Krebs, Oklahoma to Cecil Holly and Mary Madeline (Gaublomme) Holly. Wanda graduated from McAlester High School with the Class of 1950. She retired from the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant in 1993 after 20 years of service. Wanda married Augustine "Rod" Rodriguez on January 20, 1950, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. They enjoyed 72 years of marriage. She is survived by her husband: Augustine "Rod" Rodriguez of the home; her five children: Tony Rodriguez of Oklahoma City, Steve Rodriguez and wife, Julie of Kingsland, Texas, Randy Rodriguez of Krebs, Mike Rodriguez and wife, Cindy of Inola, and Lynnette Smith of Krebs; her grandchildren: Rhiannon, Emily, Rachael, Melanie, Stephen, Jamie, Michael, Jennifer, Sommer, Hayli, Miranda, Desiree, Lindsey, Morgan, and Rayna; 27 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; her brother: Cecil "Sonny" Holly, Jr. of Tyler, Texas; along with other family and friends. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents: Cecil and Madeline (Gaublomme) Holly; and her grandson: Clinton Smith. A special thank you to Jordan Stewart, great granddaughter of Wanda, for her devoted time and care to our wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
