Anita L. (Kroth) Lalli, 78, of McAlester, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at a nursing home in Ada. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the Chaney Harkins Funeral Home Chapel led by Mr. Philip Stizza. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the St. John the Evangelist Church with the Very Reverend Jovita Okonkwo celebrating. The burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Anita was born on November 11, 1945 in Ada, Oklahoma to Lewis Kroth and Kathleen (Pike) Kroth. She married Daniel F. Lalli on December 26, 1964. Anita graduated from Ada High School with the Class of 1964. She received her Licensed Practical Nurses license from the Pontotoc Technology Center in Ada, and her Registered Nurse license from Eastern Oklahoma State College. Anita worked as a registered nurse for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections in Stringtown for many years. She also worked at the Oklahoma State Health Department, and several local physicians. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Lalli; granddaughter, Darla Pierson; great grandchildren: Randy Cartlidge, Jr., and Ryker Cartlidge; sister-in-law, Paula Cormier, special niece, Becky Pennington; special friends: Teresa Hance, Janie Edwards, Florence Giacomo, Linda and John Cline. Anita is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel F. Lalli; her son; Tim Lalli; parents: Lewis and Kathleen Kroth; granddaughter: Sharron (Lalli) Scott and husband, Terry Scott; sisters: Charlene Corvin, June Laughlin, and Betty Pennington; and brother: Bob Kroth.
