Mary E. Norman, 85, of McAlester, died Sunday, April 5, 2015 in Tulsa. A memorial service will be held on 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 18 at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Rev. J.T. Carnell officiating. Inurnment will be at Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery. Service arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service. Mary was born on October 2, 1929 in Seminole to Clarence & Eunice Luckett Butler. She attended schools in Seminole and graduated Seminole High School. She married Luther Norman on January 1, 1948 in Seminole. They lived all over the world as Luther was in the United States Army and a Marine before that and he served during the Korean Conflict. She moved to Lake McAlester and later in town and lived in McAlester for some 30 years. Mary enjoyed going places with the Prime Timers at the First Baptist Church. Survivors include her son & daughter-in-law: Lonnie & Pam Norman of Tulsa; grandchildren: Christopher Norman of Oakland, California, Sonia Williams of Tulsa, Jessica Norman of Coweta; and great-grandchildren: Jesse Rausin of Tulsa, Stevie Rausin of Tulsa, Tucker Collinsworth of Tulsa, Zane Collinsworth of Tulsa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Luther Norman, and her brother: Milan Butler.
