Dorothy passed away peacefully in Eufaula, Oklahoma, surrounded by the beautiful landscapes she had always adored. Her life was a cherished gift not only to her family but to all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her. She was the matriarch of a family that spans four generations, and her memory will serve as a beacon of love and strength for all of them. Blessed with a caring and industrious spirit, Dorothy worked as a waitress and chef in Oklahoma City, where she touched lives with her kindness and impeccable culinary skills. Outside of her professional life, she was actively involved in various community endeavors and enjoyed a rich and diverse array of hobbies. From fishing to gardening, her hands were never idle; she also found solace in the joys of cooking, baking, and bird watching. Dorothy was an enthusiastic collector of moments spent with family, especially during holidays, and derived great pleasure from sewing, creating dolls, and playing both cards in person and computer card games. A fan of Jerry Lee Lewis's piano performances, she, too, expressed her love for music through the harmonica, filling the spaces around her with melodies reflective of her inner joy. Her unwavering faith in the Lord was the cornerstone of her life; it guided her in all her endeavors and interactions, shining brightly through her every action and every gentle word she spoke. Dorothy's legacy will continue to live on through her devoted son, Jim McKee of McAlester; her loving daughter, Dorcille Reed of Eufaula; and her cherished son Robert "Bob" Marvel, Jr. and his wife, Denna of Choctaw. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia "Patsy" Paulk-Killian, her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who each hold a unique place in her heart. Preceding Dorothy in death were her beloved husband, Robert Bob Lee Marvel, Sr.; son, Jack McKee; her dear parents, Ira Paulk and Mamie Stas-Paulk; and her beloved siblings, Henry" Son" H. Paulk, Vonda Paulk-Shawver, Imogene Paulk, Donna Paulk-Kerr, Phyllis Paulk-McKinney, Alene Paulk Wilkerson, I.J. Paulk, and Glenda Paulk Gormley. While we mourn the loss of a true treasure, we celebrate Dorothy Lucille Marvel's century of life – a testament to her incredible spirit and the profound impact she has had on our lives. Her light will never dim in the hearts of those who loved her.
