Dormalee was born on December 18, 1938 in Hutchison, Kansas to John William and Ocie Orpha (Sweet) Cook. She was married to her first husband, Jim R. Long, Sr. and he preceded her in death. She later married Haskell King in 1977 in Emporia, Kansas. She was co-owner of King's Auto Supply and also worked and retired from McAlester Regional Hospital. She loved working in her flower beds and vegetable garden and also enjoyed farming. She loved seeing her grandchildren and watching them play sports. Survivors include her brother, John Paul Cook; her children and spouses, Jimmy Long, Jr. and Vickie, Diane Erwin and Randall, John Long and Dawnette, and Randy King, Carol and Floyd Dill, and David King; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives; She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Jim R. Long, Sr.; second husband, Haskell King; great-grandchild, Angel Moore; a sister, Betty Nowell; and a step-son, Larry King. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel with Mimi Kelley officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park in McAlester. Active pallbearers will be Derrick Long, Jeffery Long, Blake Long, Chance Long, Broedy Mitchamore, Eli Hairrell, Logan Martin and Derek Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be James Gaylor, John Gaylor, Joseph Gaylor, Jude Gaylor, Shannon Long, Brigham Smith, Conner Long, Johnny Rivas V, Kepson Long, Christopher Mitchamore, Bruce Moore, Heston Long and Haskell King.
