Acey Jurkiewicz, 56, of McAlester, passed away Wednesday, May 10, in Tulsa, Ok. The family will welcome friends for visitation on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, May 15, at 10:00 am at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Kevin Goldsby, Anthony Tarron, Joe Janz, Spencer Shafer, Ryan Martin, Donnie Jurkiewicz, Danny Jurkiewicz, and E.W. Markland. Acey Jurkiewicz was born on January 7, 1967, in Colorado to Donald Sigmund Jurkiewicz and Katherine Ann (Simmons) Morris. Acey moved to Hartshorne at 16 and graduated from Hartshorne High School. He met many of his lifelong friends working at Winn Dixie for nine years as seafood then assistant manager. In 1997 Acey began Acey's Wrecker Service which he has operated for over 26 years. Acey enjoyed spending time at the lake, boating, and grilling. His greatest joy was his family and spending time with his grandkids. Acey is survived by his "Mi Amore", America Lessa; a son, Alex Jurkiewicz; daughters and sons-in-law, Ambershea Lewis, Tiffani and Brian Seaton, Ashley Jurkiewicz, Mary and Joe Janz, Amy and Spencer Shafer, Nicole and Ryan Martin, Brieona Pullum, and Aubrey Pullum Jurkiewicz; grandchildren, Elsie, Tillman, Ryker, Race, Roe, Chevie, Lexi, Mya, Clayton, Elijah, Curtis, Avilynne, Chloe, Jesse, Isiaha, Brylee, Falisity, and Karson; brothers, T.J., Danny, and Sunny Jurkiewicz; nephews, Donnie and Brayden Jurkiewicz; special friends/counselors/confidants, Dawn Jurkiewicz and Melanie Phillips.
