Jerry was born on October 17, 1935 in Sasakwa, Oklahoma to George Carter Holloway and Ethel Mae (Mosley) Holloway. After graduating from Stuart High School in 1953, Jerry demonstrated his commitment to service by enlisting in the United States Army on June 21, 1960. His military career was marked by honor and bravery, as he completed two tours in Vietnam and served as a combat engineer. With dedication and excellence, Jerry rose through the ranks to become a Master Sergeant, a title he held with great pride until his retirement. His last station, before bidding farewell to his military life, was in Korea, where he left a lasting impact on his fellow soldiers. Jerry's life was a testament to his love for his country, a pride that was only matched by the joy he found in being a handyman. He could often be found tinkering in his workshop or lending a helping hand. Above all, Jerry's family was his source of happiness and pride. He often shared stories of his adventures and the lessons learned from a life richly lived. He married Jeanette Davis in 1987 in Wilburton, Oklahoma and they created a home filled with love and faith. A long-time member of Northside Assembly of God, Jerry's faith was a guiding light throughout his life. His involvement in the church community reflected his belief in service and fellowship.
