Linda Marie Haile, 61, of McAlester, passed away Monday, Jan. 3, 2022. The family will welcome friends for viewing and visitation on Wednesday, Jan. 5, at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home from 6:00 to 7:00. Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 6, at 2:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Bradley Haile, Kenny Haile, Nathan Haile, Harvey Haile, Jr., Vince Lalli, and Matt Henry. Honorary pallbearers are the staff of the McAlester Public Library. Linda Haile was born on Aug. 4, 1960 in McAlester, the daughter of Carl Allen Haile and Margaret O. (Dawes) Haile. She grew up in Savanna and McAlester and attended school at Savanna, Frink, and McAlester graduating in 1978. She then attended Eastern State College in Wilburton, then went on to East Central State University in Ada, earning a Bachelor's Degree. She returned to McAlester where she went to work at Wal Mart, and at the same time, began a 27-year career with the McAlester Public Library, where she was currently serving as the Technical Services Assistant. She loved the library and the job was perfect for her because of her deep love for books and reading. She was also a big fan of shopping and music concerts. She loved to have fun and brought joy to everyone around her. Linda is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Joann Haile; her beloved nieces, Kara Henry and husband Matt, Khloe Haile, Jennifer Mattias and Julie Mattias; great nieces and great nephews, Maddux Henry, Landri Henry, Jaxson Shawnee, Jarrett Shawnee, and Jaylee Shawnee; aunts and uncles, Janet Moody, June Haile, John Haile and Kenneth and Delores Haile; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
