Cleo Imogene Golden, 87, of Krebs, passed away Tuesday, May 30, in McKinney, Texas. Viewing will be Sunday, June 4, at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services are Monday, June 5, at 10:00 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home, with Lana Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park. Pallbearers are John Golden, Brenton Donnell, Kyle Scherman, Mark Scherman, Bo Hamilton, and Kolton Watts. Cleo Golden was born on March 6, 1936 in Kenefic, Oklahoma to Mike Bennett Whitmire and Lottie Bell (Hood) Whitmire. She married Carroll Golden on March 24, 1952 in Sherman, Texas, and by 1958, they had made their home in Krebs. Carroll preceded her in death. Cleo is survived by 2 daughters, Carolyn Scherman and her husband Don, and Gail Reamy and Barry Howell; grandchildren, Donny Ray Scherman, Melissa Hamilton, John Golden, Carroll W. Golden, Racheal McCraw, Heather Reamy, Miranda Reamy, and Adrianne Smith; 21 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Mike and Lottie Whitmire; her husband, Carroll Golden; a son, Gary Wayne Golden; son-in-law, Patrick Reamy, Jr.; 4 brothers; 4 sisters; 4 sisters-in-law; and on June 1, 2023, daughter Carolyn Scherman passed.
