Ina Sue Garigin, 82, of McAlester, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024 in Bluff City, Tennessee surrounded by family as she met Jesus, her 3 boys, and numerous other family members and friends. Sue, as she was known, was born February 1, 1942 in Norfolk, Arkansas to Bill and Lela Hamilton. She is one of 12 children born into this union. Sue attended school through the 9th grade and then began working in the fields to help the family. On October 25, 1957 she married Bob Bolien in Hoxie, Arkansas. Of this union, 6 children were born: Thomas Gene, Linda Sue, Samuel Gene, Richard Curtis, Carroll Ray, and Melissa Dawn. Together they raised their family in the Monette area. Sue was a homemaker for many years until she began waitressing, a career that she truly loved. She touched so many lives throughout her years of serving her customers. Later, she married James Garigin on April 15, 1984 in McAlester, Oklahoma. Of this union, 2 children were adopted: Melissa Dawn and Mylinda Sue. Over the years, she raised many of her grandchildren and great-children. She had a special and unique bond with her granddaughter, Tamara Chlebik. Sue was truly the matriarch of her family. She was a beacon of courage and strength in the lives of all that knew her. Her infectious laughter, spirit, and strength will be deeply missed, but the memories she created will be forever cherished. Family will meet and greet friends and other family members on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home. Sue's funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Chaney-Harkins Chapel with Jamie Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be William Bolien, Anthony Watts, Braylend Chlebik, Nolan Chlebik, David Anderson, and Kenneth Wagner. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Bolien, James Garigin, Lynn Watts, Colton Alverson, JD Anderson, Nick Anderson, Michael Jenkins, and Mark Waller. She is survived by 4 children, Sam Bolien and wife Patti, of Eufaula, AL, Linda Anderson and husband David of Bluff City, TN, Melissa Watts and husband Lynn of McAlester, OK, Mylinda Alverson and husband Colton of McAlester OK. Grandchildren: Kristy Treffinger, Tamara Chlebik, William Bolien, Amanda Jenkins, Michael Jenkins, Mark Waller, Ava Bolien, Susan Lackey, Grace Reifschneider, Bobby Bolien, Kayla Goodwin, Anthony Watts, Alexis Watts, Nick and JD Anderson. Great Grandchildren: Braylend Chlebik, Nolan Chlebik, Cory Coberly, Katlin Coberly, Joseph Adams, Bobby Martin, Khaeli Martin, Brittany Harris, Cody Martin, John Jenkins, Amber Jenkins, Tiffany Jenkins, Leilani Waller, Lance Walker, Lenora Lackey, Halie Reifschneider, Delilah Reifschneider, Jayce Reifschneider. Great-Great Grandchildren: Bryleigh Coberly, Anakyn Alverson, Vaeda Alverson, Remi Alverson, Karsyn Jenkins, Zeke Harris, Charlie Martin, Kaitlyn Anderson. Sue is preceded in death by her parents, sons Richard, Ray and Tommy, grandsons Steven Bolien and Trevor Coberly, sisters Delca Copeland, Delona Pickett, Dorthie Linton, Tom Hamilton, RC Hamilton, William Hamilton, James Hamilton. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
