Patsy was the daughter of Gerald and Lillian Ivey, who preceded her in death. Her life was marked by the love she shared with her first husband, Frank G. Patsy found love again and shared her life with her second husband, Charlie E. Buxbaum, until his death on April 27, 2007. Her journey was also touched by the loss of her son, James Darrell "Red" Bryant, Sr., her grandson, James Darrell "J.J." Bryant, Jr., and her brother, Edward Ivey. Patsy's legacy continues through her loving family. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Duvall and Rich Stembaugh; daughter-in-law, Patty Bryant; her adoring grandchildren, Lindsey Smith and her husband, Richard, Daniel Duvall and wife, Beverly, Ashley Bryant and C.J. She furthered her education at Eastern Oklahoma State College. Patsy had worked at the Naval Ammunition Depot, Woods Pharmacy, and Allen's Market. However, her most cherished role was that of a homemaker, where she created a warm and welcoming home for all who entered. A woman of faith, Patsy was a longtime member of the Second Baptist Church in McAlester, where she found strength and fellowship. She found joy in watching television, with a particular fondness for British programs and westerns. Patsy also enjoyed completing crossword puzzles, a hobby that kept her sharp and engaged. Above all, Patsy's pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She poured her love into their lives, and the moments shared with them were the treasures of her heart. Her love was a guiding light, and her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to shine through each of them. Patsy Ruth (Ivey) Buxbaum's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of love, faith, and selflessness. Her memory will be cherished, and her spirit will live on in the stories told and the lives she touched. Patsy's journey on earth has ended, but her story will continue to inspire for generations to come.
