Anna Louise (Mitchell) Tripp, 74 of Indianola died January 8, 2024. The family will greet friends 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. Cremation to follow, with inurnment at Massey Cemetery at a later date. Honorary pallbearers will be, Todd Wesley Tripp, Joe Bennett, Anthony Wesley, Aaron Tripp, Chris Herrin and Michael Bennett. Anna was born to Armond Levon "Al" and Anna Lee "Billy" (Amos) Mitchell on August 3, 1949 in Belleville, Illinois. She attended Crowder school. Anna married John Wesley Tripp on November 15, 1968 in McAlester. Anna worked several jobs; including, working as a seamstress, cooking for hotels, nursing homes, T.J.'s Store, working janitorial service for Indianola school and janitorial services for McAlester Army Ammunition plant. She attended Canadian Shores Free Will Baptist Church. Anna enjoyed painting, she loved animals, dogs and cats, especially her pet dogs, Boo-bear, Scooter, Millie and Little Bit. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Armond "Al" and Anna Lee "Billy" Mitchell; her husband, John Wesley Tripp on July 22, 2022; brother, Eddie Mitchell, sisters, Connie House and Barbara Kay Shannon. Anna is survived by her grandson, Aaron Tripp of the home; daughters, Cricket Bennett and husband, Joe of Indianola, Angela Herrin and husband, Chris of Krebs; son, Todd Tripp and wife, Tammy of Indianola; just-like-sons, Leroy McClaughrey and Anthony Wesley; grandchildren, Taylor Pierson and husband, Anthony, Rebecca Tripp, Elby Tripp, Billy Fry; great grandchildren, Tinlee, Kooper, Neaveh, Bentley, Cameron, Allison; 5 step grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; sisters, Debbie Horton and husband, Robert, Lynn Kemp; an aunt, Jaunita "Pete" Shaffer; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and best friends, Carolyn Horton and Virginia Rogers and other friends.
