Terri Gene Scott, 53, of Kiowa, a beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2023, in Oklahoma City. A viewing will be Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Kiowa Cemetery. Kenny Morrow and Linda Larson will be officiating. Burial will follow. Active pallbearers will be Ron Nichols, Johnny Thomas, Lloyd Scott, George Larson, Little Joe Larson, and Rusty Chrisman. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Scott, Curtis Mills, and Elmer Hoover. Born on March 22, 1970, in Merced, California, to Ray and Freda Scott. A proud graduate of Pittsburg High School in 1990, Terri furthered his education at Eastern College in 1999. He was a dedicated worker, known for being meticulous at the Nichols Cafe in Kiowa, owned by his sister Kathy. His work ethic and warm personality made him a favorite among customers and colleagues alike. He found joy in simple things, such as reading books and playing video games. Terri married his wife Sharron in 2009 in McAlester, Oklahoma. He was a fan of family game nights, where his competitive spirit and sense of humor shone brightly. His love for his family and friends, and his passion for pestering his nieces and nephews will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Terri is survived by his father, Ray Scott of Kiowa; his sister, Kathy Nichols, and her husband Ron of Pittsburg; and his brother, Lloyd Scott of Pittsburg. He also leaves behind his aunts, Linda Larson and Rita Wilcox of McAlester; his uncle, Curtis Mills of Hugo; his nieces, McKenzie Kasper of McAlester, Ashley Winn of Kiowa, Katie Osborne and her husband D.J. of Spokane, Washington, Allison Nichols of Pittsburg; and his nephew, Kyle Nichols of Pittsburg. His mother-in-law, Dorothy Lalli of McAlester, along with numerous other family members and friends, also survive him. Terri was preceded in death by his mother, Fred Scott; his wife, Sharron Scott; his paternal grandparents, and Nana and Pa. As we mourn the loss of Terri, we also celebrate his life and the love he shared with us. His memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
