Sharon Kay Hill Ricks, of Kiowa, died Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the age of 77. Sharon was born October 22, 1939 in Jet, Oklahoma to Joe E. and Frankie (Burton) Hill. She married Bill M. Ricks on June 4, 1960 in Pampa, Texas. She is survived by her children: David K. Ricks and wife, Mary of Jacksboro, Texas, Mary K. Sweetin of Pittsburg, Joe D. Ricks of Kiowa, and Todd L. Ricks and wife, Jamey of Decatur, Texas; grandchildren: Brady Ricks and wife, Kourtney of Ft. Worth, Texas, Bob Ricks and wife, Dana, Hillary Sweetin-Lewis and husband, Ronald of Elgin, Lyndi Church and husband, Curtis of Blanco, Jared Sweetin and wife, Holly of Pittsburg, Taylor, Emma, Ethan, Will, and Molly Ricks, all of Decatur, Texas. Also, great-grandchildren: Lauren, Garrett, Micaela, Carter, Kaden, Cason, Finley, Reyden, and Sadie; brother: Robert “Bob” Hill and wife, Jean of Seabrook, Texas; sister: Carol Vinson-Ravan and husband, Robert of Greer, South Carolina; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband: Bill Ricks in 2007, and parents: Joe and Frankie Hill. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Kiowa First Baptist Church with Rev. Clarence Brinkley officiating. Interment will follow at the Kiowa Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Curtis Church, Ronald Lewis, Brady Ricks, Bob Ricks, Jared Sweetin, Ethan Ricks, and Will Ricks.
