Betty J. (Parker) Arnold, of McAlester, died Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at a local nursing center. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2021 at the Bob and Mae Weaver Memorial Sanctuary at Kiowa Cemetery officiated by Rev. Jim Ray. Burial will follow. Betty was born to Eural and Ruth Parker on November 4, 1933 in Kiowa. Betty married Charles "A.C." Arnold on June 1, 1949 in Kiowa. They later had two sons. In 1956, the family moved to Ridgecrest, California where she ran a small child care service at home. They were active members of Immanuel Baptist Church. On retirement she and A.C. moved back to Kiowa. She was a member of the Kiowa First Baptist Church. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Charles "A.C." Arnold, and son: Charles Bradley Arnold. Betty is survived by a son: Roger Arnold and wife, Mariko of Reno, Nevada; grandson: Alex Arnold of Reno, Nevada; and several nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. She was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed.
