Geraldine "Gerry" Weeks, 81, of McAlester, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025 in McAlester. Graveside funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 9, at 3:00 p.m. at the Indianola Cemetery pavilion, with Randy Walters officiating. Gerry Weeks was born on July 3, 1943 in Muskogee to Barney and Flossie (Abbott) Lesley. She grew up in Jenks until her senior year in high school, when her family moved to the McAlester area. Gerry graduated from McAlester High School with the class of 1961. She and Earl Weeks were married on April 12, 1961, and he preceded her in death in 2020. Gerry served her family as a wonderful homemaker. She was an exceptional cook, and often cooked for large groups when her kids were young, such as a baseball team, or whatever group her kids were in. She participated in many of her kid's activities in school and church. She loved animals and was a big fan of sports, especially OU sports, including football, basketball, baseball and softball. Gerry was also a long-time, active member of the North Town Church of Christ. Gerry is survived by her children, Shawna Williams and Harry, Randy Weeks and Bonnie, and Stephen Weeks and Susan; her grandchildren, Casey and Wes Wood, Chris Williams and special friend Jason Jones, Colton and Jade Weeks, Ashton and Stormy Bain, Ryan and Jessie Weeks, and Madalynn and Ethan Prince; her great grandchildren, Austin Dugan, Garrett Wood, Willow Bain, Brea Bain, Josie Bain, Whitley Weeks, Graelyn Weeks, Wrylan Weeks and Davis Weeks; her in-laws, Oben and Sharon Weeks, Elizabeth Medley-Brown and Ernie, and Carol Weeks; and numerous nieces and nephews; a special friend, Aleen Weeks; and a very special caretaker, Rosetta Beauchamp. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Weeks, and infant son, Guy Mack, her parents, 2 sisters, and 1 brother. The family would like to thank New Hope Care Center and Heartland Hospice for their excellent care.
