Freda Jenelle (Sheppard) Lott, 74, of Tecumseh, Kansas, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026, in Topeka. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bishop Funeral Service in McAlester. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Bishop Funeral Service, with Pastor Chip Lott officiating. Burial will follow at Indianola Cemetery in Indianola, Oklahoma. Pallbearers are John Tyler Perry, Noah Lee George Cook, Michael Lee Bolte, Andrew James Bolte, Charles Holt, and Brent Horn. Honorary pallbearers are Johnathan Horn, Tanner Horn, and Aaron Lebs. Jenelle was born March 11, 1952, to Omer and Bobbie (Weeks) Sheppard in Topeka, Kansas. She married Roy Dean Lott on March 25, 1993, in Arkansas. Jenelle found joy in life's simple, everyday blessings. She loved her chickens and took great pride in caring for them. Tending to her flower garden was another passion of hers. She could name almost any bloom and lovingly turned her backyard into her own personal oasis. She took great joy in sharing her knowledge and love of flowers with others. She had a creative spirit and loved making cards, using them as a way to share kindness, encouragement, and joy with others. Music held a special place in her heart; she enjoyed the sound of guitars, fiddles, banjos, and mandolins. Above all, Jenelle cherished time with her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren meant the world to her and filled her life with pride and happiness. Her home was a place where love was always present—where everyone felt welcome, cared for, and valued. She had a very special love for her dogs, who brought her constant companionship and comfort. Jenelle's gentle, caring nature touched all living things, and she found deep joy in the connections she made in her life. She is survived by her husband, Roy Dean Lott of the home; daughters, Mandi Holt and husband, Charles, Megan Horn and husband, Brent; grandchildren, John Tyler Perry and wife, Megan, Paige Lebs and husband, Aaron, Kristen Cook and husband, Noah, Michael Bolte, Andrew Bolte, Johnathan Horn, Tanner Horn and wife, Faith; great-grandchildren, Maia Cook, Eden Cook, Jodie Cook, August Perry, Wilder Lebs, Dove Lebs, Casen Horn, Marlee Horn, and Hudson Horn; sister, Judith Young and husband, Gary; brothers-in-law, Virgil Lott, Robert Lott and wife, Julie; sisters-in-law, Karen Taylor and husband, Raymond, Tanya Johnson and husband, Jeremy, and Donna Martin; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Omer Lee Sheppard and Bobbie Freda Sheppard (Weeks); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roy Lott and Judy Lott; sister-in-law, Tammy Johnson; and grandson, Caleb Holt.
