Jones and Wanona (Gizzi) Jones. She grew up in Dow, and after graduating from Haileyville High School in 1963, she began a career in secretarial work with Duran-Duran Insurance Co. in McAlester. Later she would complete her career at Oklahoma Aerotronics in Hartshorne as a switchboard operator. She would always try to work part-time, assuring her family would have a meal together every evening and never missing a ballgame or event in her girls lives. She was a blessing to all who knew her, and will be forever missed. She married Johnny Bernasky on June 19, 1971 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hartshorne, where they raised their two daughters. She lived in Hartshorne all her life until Johnny passed away in 2014, then moved to Krebs to be with her kids, and her absolute joy of her life, her grandkids. She loved every minute of them, especially when her "Texas Tornadoes" would come to visit; her life was complete. Carol is survived by her 2 daughters, Amy Reynolds, and Misty McCabe and husband Jason; 4 grandchildren, Madison Reynolds, Connor McCabe, Lauren Reynolds, and Aubrey McCabe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny; her parents, James and Wanona Jones; brothers, Nick and Ed Jones; and sisters, Edith Cox and Barbara Stabile; and a son-in-law, Monty Reynolds.
