Ruby Aline Riley, 79, of Hartshorne, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024 at a local nursing center. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne. Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the First Assembly of God Church in Hartshorne with Pastor Scott Horstman officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Trey Riley and Cody Ott, and great-grandsons, Christian Dalpoas, Gavin Johnson, Carter Johnson, Ayden Fry and Breylin McCullar. Ruby was born on October 11, 1944, in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Loyd and Dorothy (Titus) Cline. She grew up in the Hartshorne area and attended HHS. She obtained her Registered Nursing, RN degree from Eastern Oklahoma State College in 1980. Later, she pursued further education and earned her Bachelor's, after completing her Bachelor's degree, she pursued a master's degree in behavioral health sciences and obtained a License Certified Counseling Professional certification. Ruby went on to start a local counseling group that continues to provide services today. She married Donald Riley on March 10th, 1961, and together they had four children - Deborah, Donna, Crysta, and Donnie. Ruby had a deep love for reading, women and children's ministry, and a talent for home and interior design. One of her passions was renovating and restoring old homes that seemed beyond repair. She enjoyed spending weekends with her children and grandchildren and dedicated many years to ministry alongside her husband at Gloryland Baptist Church. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the entire team at Walnut Grove and Heartland Hospice of McAlester for their unwavering dedication and support. A special thank you to Selma, whose compassion and caring nature have made a lasting impact on our family. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Randy Ott, Donna and James Bond, Crysta and Daniel McFarland; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Don Riley II and wife, Julie; grandchildren, Natalie morgan, Cody and Candice Ott, Marcy Ayers, Jessica Baldwin, Sophia McFarland, Alexandria McFarland, Donald Leon Riley III, Kelsy and Heath Brownell, and Emma Riley; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Leon Riley; her parents, Loyd and Dorothy Cline; and two brothers, Leon Cline and Robert Cline.
