Jim "Jimbo" Collins, 59, of Hartshorne, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at McAlester Regional Health Center. He was born on March 2, 1962 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Floyd and Mary Ann (White) Collins. He married Ronda Cothern on June 26, 1981 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma. He was an Explosive Operator Work Leader at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant and owned and operated Jim’s Deer Processing. He was an avid OU football fan and played on the 1979 Hartshorne Miner State Runner-up football team. He loved watching his children and grandchildren in their activities and attended The King's House in McAlester. Survivors include his wife, Ronda Collins; three children and spouses, Josh and Kristin Collins, Megan Collins, Caleb and Kasey Collins; grandchildren, Halle Collins, Magnolia Bea Collins, Collyn White, Kynslee Riley and Payson "P.J." Collins; his mother, Mary Ann Collins-Browning; sister and brother-in-law, Tami and Pat Kelley; nieces, Kassidee Kelley, Miranda and Derek Nickell; mother-in-law, Laverne Holloway; brother-in-law, Duane Holloway; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Trish and Bobby Nace; niece and nephew, Crystal and Kiefer Holloway. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Collins and father-in-law, Jack Holloway. Active pallbearers will be Tim Carson, Brian Jiles, Rodney Luker, Keith Swaim, John Hancock and Steve Lane. Family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at The King's House in McAlester with Pastor Jason Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne.
