William "Billy" Ray Maynard, 64 of McAlester gained his wings on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 in Warner, Oklahoma. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 14, 2023 at Dorsey Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Kerns officiating under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service and crematory. Viewing will be on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, noon until 5:00 p.m. and Monday morning from 9:00 until noon. William was born August 7, 1959 in Dallas, Texas to Bobby Howard, Sr. and Frances Ann (Barricks) Maynard. He attended a life skills vocational school. William lived a full life with Down's Syndrome, spending time with his family was his greatest joy. He was very active in playing video games, spending time with his nieces and nephews playing with various Super heroes including; Superman, and Batman. William had a unique love for any and all dogs and enjoyed bats. William had attended North Mount Homa Church in Ulan with his family before his move to Warner. William is survived by his brother, Bobby Maynard's children, Rachel, Brandon, Caleb and Josh; brother, Dewayne and Cathy Maynard and their children, Nick and Stephanie Nichols and their children, Brittany and Blake; Adriana Maynard and daughter, Mia; Cobey and Alex Maynard and daughters, Margaret and Madelin, Casey and Hannah Maynard, Cayne and Danyelle Maynard and sons, Oliver and Jaxyn; brother, Frank and Cyndi Maynard and their children, Justin and Dana Maynard, Kristen and Wayne Donaldson, Haley Gilbreath, Chris Gilbreath, Jacob Michael, Geri Michael, Frankie Jo Maynard; sister, Donna and Gary Daniels and their children, Michael and Samantha Swindle, Robert and Frankie Womack, Samantha Griebel and numerous great nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. William is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby & Frances Maynard, brother, Bobby H. Maynard, Jr., nephew, Charley Maynard and a step-sister, Linda Husman.
