Dixie Wayne Seamon, 57 of McAlester died Sunday May 23, 2021 at his residence.
Viewing will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to Noon Friday at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2021 at Crowder Cemetery Pavilion officiated by Rev. Jamie Kirkpatrick. Burial will follow.
Pallbearers will be: Jarrod Sutmiller, Jimmy Burwell, Jesse Burwell, Eugene Miller.
Honorary pallbearer will be, William Dix.
Dixie was born to Bill and Edna Mae (Burwell) Seamon on March 25, 1964 in Oklahoma City. He grew up in McAlester and attended McAlester Schools. Dixie worked as a carpet and flooring layer. He attended First Baptist Church where he was saved and baptized.
Dixie was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Edna Seamon; and infant sister, Brenda Seamon and a sister, Virginia Miller.
He is survived by children, Gregory Pierson and wife, Ashley, Daniel Seamon, Abby Seamon; 3 grandchildren; sister, Ruthie Dix and husband, Robert; nieces and nephews, Jenny Miller, Tina Harner, Kevin Harner, Billy Miller, Eugene Miller; uncle, Gerald Seamon; other family members and friends.
