Mildred June Clagg, 90, formerly of McAlester, died January 21, 2017 in Oklahoma City. Mildred was born to Charley and Mattie Blaine on September 7, 1926 in Haywood. She graduated from Haywood High School in 1946 and then from beauty college in Ada. She married Harvey Joe Clagg on May 30, 1946 in McAlester. Harvey and Mildred pastored at several area Baptist churches for over 40 years. She retired from Wal-Mart in McAlester where she worked for 19 years. Mildred was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She is survived by daughters: Patricia Hill of Moore, Phyllis Gelvin and husband, Brian of Moore; grandchildren: Leah Gulyas of California, Robin Church and husband, Jerry of Oklahoma City, Tammy Robelen of Moore, Shanon Castle and husband, Randy of Oklahoma City; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Also, brother: Charlie Blaine and wife, Van of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sisters-in-law: Janice Clagg, Imogene Clagg, Betty Pickle, Ruby Sutton; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Charley and Mattie Blaine, son-in-law: Kenneth Hill, sister: Mary Wingo, and husband: Harvey Joe Clagg in 2005. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Rev. Keith Kinnamon. Burial will follow in Christian Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Church, Randy Castle, Jordan Church, Peyton Coover, and Logan Brown. Arrangements are entrusted to Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory.
