Moise "Slim" Cormier, 78, of McAlester, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 in McAlester, Oklahoma. Family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Chaney Harkins Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Chaney Harkins Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Kinnamon officiating. The burial will follow at Chamber Cemetery, McAlester. Moise was born on July 29, 1943 in Crowley, Louisiana. He married Paula Lalli on September 4, 1975 in McAlester, Oklahoam. In 1975, Moise began working as a plumber for Lalli Plumbing. He retired in 1988 following an injury. Since retiring, he has enjoyed hunting, fishing, car shows, and golfing at Thunder Creek and Arrowhead. Moise is survived by his wife: Paula Lalli Cormier of the home; six children: Christine Parish of McAlester, Kevin Cormier of McAlester, Angela Behymer and husband Roger of Lucas TX, Nancy Verner of McAlester, Mazie Cormier of McAlester, and Averyah Cormier of Florida; his grandchildren: Brinna Cormier and Mike Smith, Ashley Cormier, Shane Verner, Matthew Verner, Kinley Behymer, Garrett Behymer, Josh Parish, Marcus Parish, and Tony Parish; his brother-in-law: Roger Morgan; sister-in-law: Anita Lalli; 6 Great Grandchildren: Annlisa Smith, Braylee Peters, Tobie Branham, Jackson Parish, Arie Parish and Kimberly Parish; dear friends: John and Lucille Whetsel, Jimmy Bonoit, J.C. Cook, and Keith Kinnamon; along with many other family and friends. Moise is preceded in death by his parents: Nancy and Curly Cormier; his sisters: Lois Cormier, Ann Cormier, Joyce Chisum and husband, Bob, and Shirley Morgan; his brother-in-law: Danny Lalli; and his sister-in-law: Rosemary Lalli.
