Sherrill "Pebbles" Lee Wood, 58, of Pittsburg, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at her home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the Pittsburg Baptist Church with Dee Wood, Jr. officiating. The burial will follow at Pittsburg Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lane Pollock, Trenton Nolan, Ethan Barron, Michael Miller, Cash Craig, and Cody McMillan. Sherrill was born on August 31, 1963 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Ben Sweetin and Mary (Tisdell) Sweetin. She married Jimmy Wood on June 6, 1981 in Pittsburg, Oklahoma. Sherrill attended Pittsburg High School. She worked many years at a local nursing home. However, she most enjoyed being a daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband: Jimmy Wood of the home; her daughters: Melissa Wood of Pittsburg, and Kimberly Wood of Ada; her special nieces and nephew: Ashley Sweetin of Kiowa, Samantha McMillan of Ada, and Cody McMillan of Kiowa; her grandchildren: Mandi Miller and husband, Michael, Trenton Nolan, Ethan Barron, Lane Pollock, Gracie Barron, Paige Barron, Cash Craig, and Caitlyn Barron; her sisters: Mary McMillan of Kiowa, and Sandy Sweetin of Hartshorne; her brother: David Clayton of Wynnewood; her special friend: Liz Barron of Pittsburg; along with numerous other family and friends. Sherrill is preceded in death by her parents: Ben Sweetin and Mary (Tisdell) Sweetin; and her brother: Roger Clayton.
