Patrica Joyce Sweetin, 77, of Kiowa passed away at her home in Kiowa on Thursday, September 21, 2023. A visitation will be held Monday, September 25, 2023 at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. Family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Praise Fellowship in Kiowa, Oklahoma on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Dee Wood and Bob Deshazer will be officiating. Burial will follow at Pittsburg Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. Active pallbearers will be Willie Suter, Johnny Newton, Jason Sweetin, Brad O'Dell, Billy O'Dell, and John O'Dell. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Griffin, Lane Pollock, Trenton Nolan, Cash Craig, and Ethan Barron. Patsy was born on December 29, 1945 to Omer and Madie (Moody) O'Dell in Oregon. Patsy was a woman of faith and love, who touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity. She married her husband Jack Sweetin in 1999. She worked at Komar and Sons for over 10 years. Patsy dedicated 17 years of her life to serving as a production worker at the McAlester Ammunition Army Plant. Her commitment to her work was unwavering, and she was a respected figure among her colleagues. She retired in 2019, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication that continues to inspire those who knew her. Patsy was a woman of deep faith, and her love for the church was evident in her regular attendance and active participation. She was a source of spiritual inspiration for many, and her faith-filled life will continue to be a testament to her unwavering belief in God. In addition to her faith, Patsy had a deep love for her family, particularly her grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them, and her love for them was evident in her every action. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Patsy also had a special place in her heart for cats; especially "Miss Kitty". Her love for these furry companions was well-known, and she found great joy in their company. In remembrance of Patricia Joyce Sweetin, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by faith, love, and dedication. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us. She is survived by her husband of twenty-four years: Jack Sweetin; her children: Jimmy Ray Wood of Pittsburg, Judy Carol Griffin of Kiowa, Julie Linscott and her husband, Bob of Kiowa; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters-in-law: Genevieve Shatto, Lillian O'Dell, Jane Wilson, Senna Sweetin, Freda McKinney and her husband, Rick; brother-in-law, Bill Sweetin; special friends: Brenda Scott, Linda Linscott. Patsy is preceded in death by her mother: Madie O'Dell, her father: Omer O'Dell; her brothers: Leon O'Dell, Jiggs O'Dell, Oscar O'Dell, Bobby O'Dell, Benny O'Dell, and Freddy O'Dell; her sister: Betty O'Dell; her daughter-in-law: Sherril Woods.
