Jessie L. Parent was born June 28th, 1918 at Pine Top, OK and died January 1st, 2000 at McAlester, OK. Services at Praise Fellowship Church 2:00 p.m. Tuesday January 4, 2000. Pallbearers are Jeff Gilliam, Travis Gilliam, Steve Hall, Michael Gilliam, Jeremy Parent, Jamie Parent and Loman O. Parent, Jr. The clergy officiating is Rev. Neil Copple and Rev. Virgil Patton. The final resting place is Pittsburg Cemetery, Pittsburg, OK under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home. He leaves his wife, Della Parent of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Angie & Ted Bice of Bridgecreek, OK, Cleo & H.A. "Bear" Gilliam of Kiowa, OK and Cathy and Mike Haynes of Kiowa, OK; sons and daughters-in-law, Loman & Susie Parent of Kiowa, OK and Jerry & Yvonne Parent of Blanco, OK; sister, Edith Stites of Pittsburg, OK; brothers, Luther Parent of LaPuente, CA, Clifton Parent of Pittsburg, OK, Edward Parent of Kiowa, OK, Joe Parent of Kiowa, OK and Billy Ray Files of Victoria, TX; 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, James Edward Parent; mother, Nina Anjaline Harkey Parent; daughter, Mary Jennell Phillips; great-grandson, Michael Aaron Bass; sisters, Flora McGugh, Bernice Mitchell and Lucy Jones; brothers, Glee V. Parent, Clifford Parent and John Files. Funeral is under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home.

Della Mary Parent was born April 6th, 1914 at Union Chapel, OK and died May 6th, 2006 at McAlester, OK. Services are with Bishop Chapel of Memories 2:00 p.m. Tuesday May 9th, 2006. Pallbearers are Jeff Gilliam, Travis Gilliam, Michael Gilliam, Jeremy Parent, Jamie Parent, Loman O. Parent, Jr., Scott Farmer and Steve Hall. Clergy officiating is Kenneth Sherill and Rev. Linda Snider. Final Resting Place is Pittsburg Cemetery, Pittsburg, OK under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Loman O. and Susie Parent of Kiowa, OK and Jerry Edward Parent of Branson, MO; daughters and sons-in-law, Angie & Ted Bice of Bridgecreek, OK, Cleo & H.A. "Bear" Gilliam of Kiowa, OK and Cathy & Mike Haynes of Kiowa, OK; also numerous grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Oscar Dennis; mother, Nettie Brewster Dennis; husband Jessie Parent (January 12, 2000); daughter, Nell Phillips; great-grandson, Michael Aaron Bass; sisters, Mona Faye Dennis and Coette Dennis; brother, James Oscar Dennis.
