Faye (Sperry) Dutton
Pittsburg Calvary Cemetery


Faye was the daughter of Claude and Sallie E. (Lynn) Sperry. She married Jimmy Dutton on Dec. 24, 1941, in McAlester and was a homemaker. She served as Sunday school secretary for 35 years at Kiowa First Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Leighton and husband, Jerry, of Pittsburg, and Virginia Wood and husband, Danny, Sherman, Texas; grandson, Daniel Leighton, of Pittsburg; son-in-law, Lee Maxwell, Dennison, Texas, and brother-in-law, James Dutton, of Pittsburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Sallie Sperry; her husband, Jimmy Dutton, and brother-in-law, Coleman Dutton. Pallbearers will be Gary Ray, Alfred Rich, Vern Dibble, Chris Gillespie, Wayne Edwards and Hank Foris. Honorary pallbearers will be George Foris, O.C. Holland, Dee Woods and Kenneth Battles. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Kiowa First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Pearcy and the Rev. Danny Wood officiating. Burial will be at Pittsburg Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester.
