Reva Paulette Beshear
April 30, 1937 ~ July 20, 2021

Reva Paulette (Brown) Beshear, of McAlester, died Tuesday, July 20, 2021 in Tulsa. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2021 at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Rev. Steve Smith and Rev. Joel Snow. Burial will follow at Blue Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Schoggins, Aylan Bohn, Titus Snow, Stephen Shropshire, Jon Shropshire, and Richard Shropshire. Reva Paulette was born on April 30, 1937 in Hanna, Oklahoma. She attended school at Indianola through the 9th grade and graduated from McAlester High School in 1954. She married Carroll Jefferson Beshear on June 15, 1954 in McAlester. They were married for 66 years before his death on December 21, 2020. Reva was a homemaker. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church. Reva especially loved to baby-sit in her home and was known as "Nanny." She enjoyed crocheting. Reva was preceded in death by her husband: Carroll Jefferson Beshear; her mother: Anna Brown, and father-in-law and mother-in-law: Benjamin and Audie Beshear. She is survived by her daughter: Pamela Shropshire and husband, Arthur; son: Greg Beshear and wife, Rhonda; grandson: Stephen Shropshire and wife, Dani, all of McAlester; granddaughter: Amanda Bohn and husband, Aylan of Fouke, Arkansas; grandson: Jonathan Shropshire and wife, Janell of McAlester; granddaughter: Katie Snow and husband, Titus of Idabel; great-grandchildren: J.W, Irelyn, Mason, Mase, Oakley, Stetson, Alexah, Landry, Lawson; sisters-in-law: Willie Britt of Henryetta, Jo Ann Gallo of McAlester; cousins: Quinn Malone, Kendall Ragsdale, Larry Lewis; special friends: Nora Stacey, Rhonda Blevins; and nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
