Shirley Ann (McClintic) Wood, 72 of Hartshorne died Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at her residence. Viewing will be Noon to 5:00 p.m. Thursday at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2024 at Blanco Cemetery Pavilion officiated by Rev. Kenny Morrow. Burial will follow. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Paxton, Gary Wood, Jr., Clayton Rice, Christopher Wood and John Bolt. Honorary pallbearers will be Cole Fonville, Cody Fonville, Dale Wood, Keith Creekmore and Marty Briggs. Shirley Ann was born to Clarence Floyd and Arlene Anita (Alloway) McClintic on March 15, 1952 in Sargent, Nebraska on the family farm. She graduated from high school in Burwell, Nebraska. She completed cosmetology school in Ord, Nebraska. Shirley married Brady Leroy Wood on May 1, 1979 in Sherman, Texas. Shirley was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and making baby blankets was her specialty. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Arlene McClintic; husband, Brady Wood; son, Jason Wood; brothers, Walter Leroy McClintic, Robert B. McClintic and Floyd Glen McClintic; sister, Sandra Kay "Sandy" McClintic. Shirley is survived by her sons, Michael Wood, Freddie Wood both of Hartshorne, daughter, Tammy White of Caney; grandchildren, Ocean, Cole and Cody; great grandchildren, Sophie, Trevor, Bentley and Zoe; a brother, Harold McClintic of Hobart, Nebraska; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Shirley will be missed but not forgotten.
