Jack Evans Freas, 66, of Stuart, died Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Kindred Hospital in Oklahoma City. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 10 at the Ashland Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Tommy Brannon officiating. Interment will be at Ashland Cemetery. Service arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service. Jack was born in McAlester on January 15, 1949 to George Shelton & Gertrude Marie Evans Freas. He went to school at Ashland until the 8th grade when he went to Coalgate, Oklahoma and graduated from Coalgate High School. He married Sherrie Helterbrand on November 7, 2007 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. He spent 31 years at Boeing as a structural mechanic. Jack was a member of the Ashland Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, camping, cars and traveling. Surviors include his wife: Sherrie Freas of the home; sister: Joyce & John McPhetridge of Ashland; children & spouses: Brian & Amanda Freas of Azle, Texas, Mistie Freas Nichols of Ashland, Chad Freas of Oklahoma City, Jeremy & Tammy Pierce of McAlester, Krista Helterbrand of Ashland. Also, grandchildren: Nicholas Freas, Sarisa Nichols, Shelton Nichols, Jaylynne Pierce, Jaden Pierce, Danny Pierce, Ledgen Pierce, Shelby Martin; great-grandchildren: Able Freas, Sidney Freas, Hadley Freas; nieces & nephews: Keith McPhetridge, Johnny McPhetridge, Joanie Brindle, Toby Freas, Britney Brice, Megan Freas, Mandy Brown, and several great-nieces & great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son: Jeff Freas, a brother: Jim Freas, and an uncle: E. Jack Freas. Pallbearers will be Keith McPhetridge, Johnny McPhetridge, Toby Freas, Mark Hefley, Howard Davidson, and Donnie Wilson.
