Wilma J. Eden November 22, 1936 - November 16, 2020
Crawford Family Funeral & Cremation Service - Edmond, OK

Wilma J. Eden (Sisco), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt and longtime Oklahoma educator, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2020 in Edmond, Oklahoma. Wilma was born on November 22, 1936 to Ethel Mae and Louie Haskell Sisco in her home in Ashland, Oklahoma. Wilma graduated from Ashland High School in 1955 and attended college at the University of Central Oklahoma where she received both her bachelor's and master's degrees. Wilma married the love of her life, Farris G. "Pete" Eden, Sr., in 1956 and they enjoyed 64 wonderful years together, and she loved her family more than anything. Wilma was a prolific reader and writer, a green-thumbed gardener who loved roses and hydrangeas, a world-traveler, an amazing baker of her famous tea cakes, brownies, and pies, servant-hearted and kind, and a devout and strong Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart. A generous teacher and counselor, Wilma gave her life to encouraging others and helping them achieve their dreams. Wilma's life motto was "Savor the Moment," and she truly did savor every moment of her rich life. She is deeply loved by many dear friends and family who will fondly remember her bubbly laugh, sweet smile, and tender heart. Wilma is survived by her husband, Farris G. "Pete" Eden of the home; her brother, Fayne Sisco (Claudia Davis Sisco); two sons, Farris G. Eden, Jr., and Gary D. Eden (Lori Eden); and two grandchildren, Katy Eden Long (Jordan Long) and Blake Eden. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Louie Sisco. The family would like to thank Dr. Kori M. Lewis, the wonderful staff at Iris Memory Care, and Frontier Hospice Service for caring for Wilma like family and her church family at Seminole Pointe Church of Christ. There will be a graveside service in Ashland, Oklahoma on Wednesday, November 18 at 2:00 p.m. (Ashland Cemetery).
