Paula Charlene (Cheney) Weiher, 73, of Blocker, died Friday, December 24, 2021 in Oklahoma City. The family will greet visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Ash Creek Cemetery Pavilion in the Ash Creek Community. Burial will follow. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Woody, O.J. Foutch, Jim Weiher, Leon Cable, Fred Allen, and James Allen. Paula was born to Charles and Ethel Elizabeth (Kuykendall) Cheney on November 17, 1948 in Blocker. She attended Blocker school and graduated from Crowder High School. She then attended Eastern Oklahoma State College. Paula worked for the McAlester Ammunition Plant in production and as a planner and estimator. Paula married Ronnie "Buz" Smith in 2003 and lived happily by his side until his death. She retired in 2009 after 30 years of employment. She loved to fish and enjoyed Lake Eufaula. Paula enjoyed spontaneous adventures and loved to travel. She was a no-nonsense, free spirit that loved her family members and friends. Paula was a member of Blocker Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: Charles "Chuck" and Ethel E. Cheney, two infant sisters, husband: Ronnie "Buz" Smith, and life-long friend: Jim Powell. Paula is survived by her family: Rodney and Leslie Simmons, Brandie Layman and Larry Crawley, Paula Simmons, Brian Simmons, Jimmy Ross Powell, Christopher Smith, Josh Holloway, Jacob Holloway, Hollie Bridges, Carson Hoffman, Cadence Simmons, Raelyn Barlow, Parker Simmons, Cade Harbison, Collin Harbison, Debbie Weiher, Allen Weiher; numerous cousins; her Blocker community family; and other family members and friends.
