Allie Leah Sparks, 84, of Ash Creek, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014 in Muskogee. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 31 at Bishop Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 1 at Ash Creek Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Randall Pierce and Rev. Jim White officiating. Service arrangements are under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service. Born to Alvon and Ina Frances (Gragg) Mason September 8, 1929 at Massey, Allie graduated from Crowder High School in 1947. She married John Sparks on December 20, 1947 at Bangor, Maine. They lived in Florida moved back to Oklahoma and then to California before returning to Oklahoma in 1957. She was a homemaker. Allie and J.O. loved to sing at area singings, churches and sang at many funerals. She enjoyed playing the piano and guitar, and crocheting. She was a member of Featherston Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband: John Sparks of the home; daughters: Sandra Cozad of Ash Creek, Glenda Thornton and husband, Bill of Ash Creek; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends. Also, special friends: Bill and Maxine Sparks, Verlon and Jo Sparks, Jim and Joy White, and other special friends too numerous to mention. She was preceded in death by her parents: Alvon and Ina Mason, infant daughter: Peggy Sue Sparks, son: Larry Orman Sparks, grandson: Kelly Power, four brothers, and four sisters. Pallbearers will be Anthony Carney, Michael Carney, Jessy Carney, Shaune Kelley, Jonathan O�Dell, and Lance Bookout. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Oneth, Willie Traylor, Kenneth Southard, and Needham Williamson.
