Charley "David" Haney, 90, of McAlester, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025 in McAlester. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the Ash Creek Cemetery Pavilion. Burial will follow. David was born on February 17, 1935 in McAlester to Charley Elmer and Martha Elizabeth (Fletcher) Haney. He was a lifetime resident of the Ash Creek Community and McAlester. He was a rancher and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his three daughters and spouses, Linda and Jim Heaslet of McAlester, OK, Debbie Haney and Cat Brewer of Ada, OK, Karen Haney and John Wirtz of Blue Springs, MO; granddaughter, Hannah Smith; grandsons, Jimmy and Maria Heaslet, Roy Heaslet, Caleb and Nikki Chambless; great-grandchildren, Lexa Smith, Isaiah Chambless, Braedon, Matti, Noah, Cash, Atti, Olivia and Oliver Walton; and a sister, Lorene Leadford. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Haney; longtime companion, Jennie Cinocca; parents, C.E. and Martha Haney; grandparents, Landon and Minnie Haney; brothers, Elmer Haney, Carlos Simmons and Arthur Simmons; sisters, Alene Haney and Dinzel Webster.
