Gerald Grant Wilson, Sr., 73, of Adamson, Oklahoma, on July 9, 2024 he walked hand in hand with his wife into Heaven. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Arpelar Cemetery Pavilion with R.J. Phillips officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Tinker AFB Honor Guard and the VFW Post #1098. Burial will follow. Active pallbearers will be Gerald G. Wilson, Jr., Trey Wilson, Logan Wilson, Michael Box, Benjamin Box, Malinda Box and Robert Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Phillips, Jimmy Phillips, W.H. Wilson, numerous nieces and nephews. Gerald was born on September 2, 1950 in McAlester to James Wesley Wilson and Margaret Ada (Powell) Wilson. He served in the United States Air Force, United States Air Force Reserves and the Army National Guard. He married Linda Sue Crawley on August 30, 1968 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. He worked for the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandchildren. He loved OU softball and football and OSU. He was an avid gun collector and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #1098 and the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Gerald G., Jr. and Christine Wilson; grandchildren and spouses, Trey and Whitney Wilson, Logan and Brittany Wilson and James Wilson; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy Marie and Michael Box; grandchildren, Malinda Box, Sara Box, Benjamin and Seneca Box; great-granddaughters, Annalynn Wilson, Addisynn Wilson, Lilly Wilson and Lyla Wilson; brother, W.H. Wilson; and sister, Joyce Thompson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue Wilson on May 4, 2018; parents; sisters, Barbara Westbrook, Lorene Phillips, Annie Prescott, Evelyn Baker, Betsy Clay, Betty Scott and Norma Baker; brother, Sonny Wilson; brothers-in-law, Tommy Crawley and Randy Crawley.
