Calvin Andrew Turner, 91 of Tulsa passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025 in Tulsa. A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2025 at Arpelar Cemetery Pavilion, Arpelar, Oklahoma officiated by Rev. Jody Domingue. Burial will follow. Arrangements are entrusted to Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory. Calvin was born to Andrew and Mamie (Bull) Turner on June 18, 1933 in Hamlin, Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a truck driver. He was married to Mary Louise (Cravins) Turner for 54 years and she preceded him in death in 2018. Calvin enjoyed watching old Western movies, particularly those starring John Wayne. He also enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and gardening. He liked to play bingo and complete puzzles. His family was his pride and joy and he loved spending time with them. Calvin will be missed but not forgotten. Calvin was also preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mamie; sons, Calvin Andrew "J.R." Turner, Jr., Melvin Turner, Jody Turner; daughter, Patricia Turner; grandson, Joseph Turner; sisters, Emma Hearn and Wanda Domicone He is survived by daughters, Alice Turner; Tonya Carazzo, Rose Baker, Shella Turner, Peggy Reed, Mary Orick; sons, Nathan Turner, Tom Johnson; numerous grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; brother, James Turner; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
