Glen Duane Stewart, 68, of Stuart, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Arpelar Cemetery in Arpelar, Oklahoma. John Roberts will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Blade Stewart, Jeremy Lott, Doug Stewart, Danny Stewart, Ronnie Stewart, and Hunter Stewart. Glen Duane Stewart was born on March 29, 1956 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Alvin Stewart and Wanda (Heskett) Stewart. After graduating from Stuart High School, Glen embraced the life of a rancher, nurturing cattle and horses. His passion for the Western way of life extended to his work at the local Feed Store in McAlester, where he was a familiar and friendly face to all who entered. In 1981, Glen married his beloved wife, Brenda, in Guymon, Oklahoma. Together, they cultivated a life filled with the joys of the outdoors with their two sons, Joshua and Jonathan. Glen's love for gardening, watching westerns, and caring for his farm was evident to all who knew him. Glen's legacy is one of love for the open range, the spirit of the cowboy, and the simple pleasures of life under the vast Oklahoma sky. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Glen is preceded in death by his wife: Brenda Stewart; his father: Alvin Stewart. Glen is survived by his sons: Joshua Stewart and wife, Haven of McAlester, Jonathan Stewart and wife, DeAnna of Indianola; grandchildren: Bentley Stewart, Bostyn Stewart both of Indianola; his brothers: Doug Stewart and partner, Silvia Ansell of Krebs, Ronnie Stewart, Danny Stewart both of Scipio; his sisters: Janet Stewart of Scipio, Jeannie Grady of McAlester; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
