Mike Loyd Hearod, 60, of McAlester, died Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in McAlester. The family will greet friends and visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2021 at Bishop Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 25, 2021 at Bishop Chapel of Memories officiated by Dr. Rusty McMullen. Burial will follow at Arpelar Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Laughlin, Johnny Reich, Tony Korp, Shawn Melton, Derrick Lesley, and Ryan Dalley. Honorary pallbearers will be Jordan Curtis, Tony Dominic, and Tim Crews. Mike was born to Bobby Gene and Georgia (McLendon) Hearod on May 31, 1961 in McAlester. He grew up in McAlester and graduated from McAlester High School in 1979. Mike worked for Berry Plastics for 32 years as a machine operator. He married Tina Renee Daniels on January 18, 2003 in McAlester. Mike enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Mike had a big heart and was a friend to all. He was preceded in death by his father: Bobby Gene Hearod and his mother: Georgia (McLendon) Hearod. Mike is survived by his wife: Tina of the home; daughter: Kaci Williams of Ada; son: Bradley Vaughan and wife, Jaimee of Conroe, Texas; daughter: Chanler Vaughan of McAlester; grandchildren: Ryleigh Stephens, Korbin Curtis, Blakeleigh Vaughan, Barrett Vaughan, Brooks Vaughan, Harper Dominic, Hayden Fitts; brother: Darrell Hearod of McAlester; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
