Axton Chase Cook, 32, of Claremore, formerly of the Hartshorne area, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in Hartshorne. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne. Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Adamson Baptist Church with Casey McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Adamson Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Dakota Cook, Dustin Beene, Camden Powers, Garett Cook, Timothy Holt, Patrick Gofourth and Ethan Vermillion. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Holt, Trey Medicine Bear, Kodie Welch, Brian Anson, Michael Brown and Presley Nave. Axton was born on July 16, 1992 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Rusty and Rhonda (Semeski) Cook. He spent his life growing up in the Hartshorne, Adamson and the McAlester areas. He enjoyed fishing, football, listening to music and spending time with his daughter, Swayzi. He attended The Vessell Church in Claremore, Oklahoma. Survivors include his daughter, Swayzi Ray Gooding; mother, Rhonda Semeski; father and bonus mom, Rusty and Brandy Cook; sisters, Lexen Brooke Cook and Trey Medicine Bear, Rustee (Cook) Welch and Kodie Welch; brother, Dakota Cook; maternal grandmother, Donna O’Nesky Brewster; paternal grandparents, Larry and Pyble Cook; maternal aunts, Tina Semeski Fuller and husband, Scott, Christa Semeski Hughes and husband, Steven, Cherish Semeski Garcia and husband, Mark; paternal uncle, Monte Cook, and paternal aunt, Tonya Crumm; cousins, Camden Powers, Garett Cook, Dustin Beene, Jillian Hughes and Christopher Hughes, Rachael (Cook) Smith and husband, Brent Smith. Axton was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Frank Semeski; cousin, Allen Semeski; very special cousin, Justus Holliday and cousin Chad McCoy; paternal great-grandparents, Charles and Reba Lout, and C.H. and Bonnie Cook.
