© Palmer Marler Funeral Home Stillwater, OK Reprinted with permission September 2015 Wilma Jean [Clawson] Jones December 23, 1946 ~ September 10, 2015 Wilma Jean Jones, age 68, an Oilton resident, was born on December 23, 1946 in Yale, Oklahoma to the late A.J. and Vasca [Comer] Clawson and passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She grew up in Oilton and attended and graduated from Oilton High School in 1965. Wilma married the love of her life, Herman D. Jones on April 16, 1966 and to this union two daughters were born, Stacy and Paula. Together they started their lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma then soon after, they moved to Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and finally moved back to Oilton to be around family. Wilma began working in a women’s boutique after her children were grown. She enjoyed meeting new people and when the owner retired, Wilma took over the boutique in Sapulpa called The Rose Garden. Preceded in death by her parents, one sister: Mary Deeds, three brothers: A.J. Clawson Jr., John Clawson, and Leland Clawson. Funeral services: Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Church of God, Yale, Oklahoma. Funeral services are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Oilton, Ok. |
