© Strode Funeral Home Stillwater, Oklahoma Martha Etta [Valk] Harvey October 7, 1928 ~ February 8, 2013 Martha Valk Harvey, 84, died Friday, February 8, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 15, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Reverend Kyle Anderson will officiate. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Martha was born on October 7, 1928 to David Carl Valk and Lula Ann Willey in Talala, Oklahoma. She married John Elton Harvey in Claremore, Oklahoma in April 1949 and were together until his death in 2005. She was member of First United Methodist Church in Stillwater, the Social Order of Beauceant, the Eastern Star, the VFW Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Martha is preceded in death by her husband, John; parents, David and Lula Ann Valk; brother, Earl Allen Valk; and sisters, Fern Lightle and Sarah Renfroe. She is survived by her sisters, Margie Melton and her husband, Bob, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Joie Taylor and her husband, Charles, of Willis, Texas; her brother Roger Valk and his wife, Margaret, of Oologah, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and -nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made in Martha's name to First United Methodist Church, 400 W 7th Ave, Stillwater, OK 74074.
